Quick Facts

We know that many considerations arise when selecting a school for your child. The following information covers our most frequently asked questions.

What is the average class size?

CBA’s student-to-teacher ratio is an exceptional 6:1. Our small class sizes facilitate individualized instruction, ensuring that all of our students have the attention they need to achieve their potential. Our educational environment provides a supportive and challenging curriculum that nurtures all aspects of a student’s growth. Class size ranges from 3-12 students depending on the division and the course.

What is an Individualized Instruction Plan (IIP)?

All CBA students receive an Individualized Instruction Plan (IIP) that outlines learning outcomes in specific areas. This personalized roadmap for each student’s success includes specific strategies and accommodations for achieving those goals. The IIP is developed and monitored by the division director, with input from teachers and parents. Each student’s IIP is formally reviewed twice a year, however, informal meetings to make changes that reflect student development throughout the course of the year are common. Individualization and flexibility are hallmarks of a CBA education.

What type of diploma do your graduating students receive?

CBA, as a VAIS-accredited, independent school issues all students who complete graduation requirements a standard, independent school diploma.
