Globally and Feed Locally
Chesapeake Bay Academy's Lower, Middle and Upper School
just completed an enormous food drive for the Foodbank
of Southeastern Virginia. There was a competition between
the Lower, Middle and Upper Schools to see who could bring
in the most cans. The overall winners were the hungry
in South Hampton Roads. For record keeping purposes, the
Middle School narrowly beat the Lower School, the perennial
winners, with the Upper School making a worthy contribution.

Day is Like a Big Hug
Chesapeake Bay Academy celebrated its annual day before
Thanksgiving event, Grandfriends Day. Grandparents and
grandfriends of CBA students traveled from near and far
to spend the morning with their favorite student. More

Bay Academy's Planet Surfers Ride the Lego Wave
- VIRGINIA BEACH: Chesapeake Bay Academy (CBA) Middle
Schoolers Erin Rochon, Leslie Riddle, Brad Garmon, Sam
Van Essendelft and Ryan Grice know the meaning of teamwork.
On Saturday, November 22, they received the Teamwork Award
in the regional competition for FIRST(For Inspiration
Recognition of Science and Technology) - Lego League,
a collaboration between FIRST and the Lego Corporation.
They competed against 16 other teams for this honor. More
