TUITION
The tuition for the 2007-2008 academic school year is $17,600 for grades K-8 and $18,700 for 9-12 grades. Payment options
include Single Payment, Bi-Annual, Quarterly, and Monthly. A $500 non-refundable/non-adjustable enrollment fee is required with the contract. Tuition will be prorated for any student enrolling after the start of the school year. A
discount of 3% will be given if payment of the entire balance is received by August 1, 2007. The cash discount is not available after August 1, 2007. A $100 service charge will be added
to the Monthly Payment Plan, a $40 service charge will be added to the Quarterly Payment
Plan, and a $20 service charge will be added to the Bi-Annual Payment Plan.
FINANCIAL AID
Financial Aid is available to students accepted for admission whose families clearly
demonstrate financial need. Chesapeake Bay Academy (school code 2354) uses The School and Student Services
for Financial Aid (SSS) located in Princeton, New Jersey. A copy of the Parents’ Financial
Statement (PFS) form obtained from the school must be filled out completely and returned to
SSS. In addition, a copy of the parents’ current-year tax forms (1040) must be sent
directly to the school. Information on a low-interest academic loan is also available from
the Admissions Office.
BOOKS
Students in Lower School do not purchase books. Students in grades K-8 purchase
consumables such as workbooks that cannot be reused. Students in grades 9-12 purchase all
books. Student's account is charged for the text books.
SUPPLIES
Students in all grades are responsible for their own school supplies. The school will provide a
supply list to all CBA families prior to the first day of school.
OTHER FEES
Students participating in athletic programs are charged a fee to supplement the cost of uniforms,
coaches, referees, equipment, trophies, and transportation. Field trip fees cover the cost
of the trip and are determined individually for each field trip.
FULL EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM
The Full Extended Day Program includes Early Drop-Off, Homework Center, and supervised
recreation on all days that school is open, and on days when school is closed, but the school office is
open. The fee is $3,000 for the entire academic year. The components of the Full Extended Day
Program are explained below.
EARLY DROP-OFF
Early Drop-Off (7:00-7:45 AM) is available for parents who need to bring their child to school prior to
7:45 AM on all school days. Students may enroll in the EDO Program at a cost of $1,200 per year,
which will be added to the tuition. Students may participate on a daily basis at $8 per day with the
purchase of a Daily/Drop-In Certificate. Students not enrolled in the program who arrive prior to
7:40 AM will be charged the daily rate.
HOMEWORK CENTER
Homework Center (3:15-4:15 PM) is available on full and early dismissal school days. Students are
provided with an opportunity to do their assigned homework with the supervision of the HWC staff who
are familiar with the curriculum. Staff members assist students in following directions, answer questions
about the format of homework and provide a structured setting. The staff does not re-teach concepts or
tutor students. Students without homework are encouraged to read or do extra credit work. The cost of
the HWC is $1,500 per year and will be added to the tuition. Students may participate on a daily
basis at a rate of $15 per day with the purchase of a Daily/Drop-In Certificate. Students not enrolled
in the program that are not picked up by 3:15 PM will be sent to Homework Center and
charged the daily rate.
EXTENDED DAY
Extended Day (3:15-6:00 PM) is available to parents who are not able to pick their child up by the end of
Homework Center, athletics or other after school activities. Students are supervised in recreational and
social activities. The cost of the Extended Day Program is $2,400 for the academic year and will be
added to the tuition. Students may participate on a daily basis at a rate of $30 per day with the
purchase of a Daily/Drop-In Certificate. Students not enrolled in the program that are not picked
up by 4:15 PM or the end of a school-sponsored activity will be sent to Extended Day and charged
the daily rate.
