Dear Parent,
Chesapeake Bay Academy is the only school in the area dedicated to educating bright
students who have difficulty learning and achieving in traditional environments due
to learning disabilities and attention disorders. I hope the information on our site
is helpful as you search for an appropriate educational setting for your child.
At CBA, an Admissions Committee, following a comprehensive review of the student's
records, reaches admissions decisions. The following steps should help facilitate
the admissions process through enrollment:
- Call the Admissions office at 757.497.6200 to schedule a tour of our school.
During your visit, you will tour the school and meet with me to discuss your child's
needs, your expectations, and our philosophy of education.
- Next, complete the application for admission and the transcript and records request
form. Attach the $50.00 non-refundable application fee and mail to Chesapeake Bay Academy.
Once your child's profile is complete, including a psychological/educational evaluation,
complete school record, teacher recommendation, and interview, the Admissions committee
will make a recommendation with regard to the School's ability to meet the needs of your
child. Please contact me if you have any questions as you proceed through the admissions
process. We look forward to working with you.
Sincerely,

Hunter W. Wortham
