Career Opportunities

Career Opportunities

At Chesapeake Bay Academy, our faculty and staff come to us from diverse life experiences and have a wide spectrum of academic and professional credentials. However, they all have one thing in common - a passion and commitment to empower every student to grow, mature, and reach their full potential by nurturing their independence, self-esteem, and personal pride.

We offer an opportunity for educators and staff to work in an unique learning environment and share their gifts and talents with students who want to succeed, and parents who are committed to supporting you and their child on their quest to fulfill a dream.

For educators, you'll have the opportunity to create one-on-one individualized instruction plans no matter what your academic specialty. Our instructors match teaching styles to individual learning styles, and share a personal commitment to support each student socially and emotionally. At Chesapeake Bay Academy we'll offer you the chance to thrive, not just as a teacher, but also as an advocate, a mentor, and most importantly, a personal champion.

For administrative and support staff, it's an opportunity to work in a collaborative, welcoming environment where students, parents, and staff work together to achieve success. You'll play a major part in nurturing our philosophy and supporting CBA's efforts to continue our mission of fulfilling the hopes and dreams of students and parents.

Please contact us if you like to know more about career opportunities at Chesapeake Bay Academy. It's the school where you can help make a dream come true every day.

Substitute Teacher Positions

Chesapeake Bay Academy is looking for qualified candidates to substitute as needed.  The school prefers to have someone in the classroom with a college degree who can deliver the curriculum with little assistance from the faculty.  As with all school employees, you will be responsible for the safety and well-being of our students and you will follow the policies and procedures CBA has developed. Once your application and resume have been approved, you will be fingerprinted and a background check will be completed.  Substitutes may either pay for these two services in cash or sign an authorization for CBA to make a deduction of $50 from the first paycheck.  For more details, please contact our substitute coordinator Tammy Lister at 757-497-6200 or tlister@cba-va.org.
