Boomer's Sports Report: Dolphins vs. OakTree Academy
The boys soccer team demonstrated great hustle and drive during their first game of the season against OakTree Academy. The roster is at a record high with 18 players this year ranging in experience and age but all united in the fight!
Our Dolphins spent the first half of the game learning the field and assessing how to work as a team. After a halftime pep talk by Coach Lincoln, the boys played more tactfully and defensively scoring two goals back to back, the first by Matthew Johnson (G8) and the second by Daniel Geheren (G11) ending the game at 4-2. New to the team Nathan Kemper (G6) and Barrett Damuth (G4) were key players, tearing up the midfield to maintain possession and reclaim the ball relentlessly. Honorable mention to Alex Carter (G8) for keeping the goal empty and making an incredible save in the second half as a first time goal keeper. CBA soccer fans have a lot to look forward to as these players develop individually and as a team this season. Go Dolphins!
