Mrs. Collins' 3rd Graders "Rock the Vote"!

With elections right around the corner, lower schoolers in Mrs. Collins' homeroom are learning important aspects about the U.S. Government including who makes laws (legislative branch), who executes laws (executive branch), and who evaluates laws (judicial branch).

"The students already have a lot to share about what they believe and understand. It's interesting to hear what they are gleaning from social media, the news, and from their parents. One concept that they have been very quick to comprehend is that we, the people, have the ultimate power in our country and that voting is a right and responsibility of all citizens."
