  • Read Across America Day!

Lower school went on a “reading adventure” as they celebrated National Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss’ birthday.

Students participated in activities related to literacy and Dr. Seuss including a One Fish, Two Fish, “Goldfish” graphing activity, Pin the Hat on the Cat, Cat in the Hat portrait drawing and a team-building poster project.

Middle school got involved by performing a special read-a-loud for the group and language arts teacher, Mrs. Miner, put together a wonderful list of children’s books to highlight special themes.

The best part was seeing all of the creativity in the costumes as everyone was encouraged to dress as their favorite Seuss character for the day. Oh the places you will go, lower school!
