School Counseling Services
Courage, Power & Wonder.
Our key concepts are COURAGE, POWER, and WONDER. Students are taught that courage is an emotion; and that courage is not the absence of fear. Many situations in life call upon us to do something we find scary, upsetting, uncomfortable, anxiety provoking, or distressing. Students are encouraged to push through their fears, exhaustion, sadness, and anger to take on safe and healthy challenges. After achieving their goals, our students realize their POWER. They see fruition to what they have wanted to happen in spite of their fear of obstacles, resistance, or opposition. Lastly, the feeling of WONDER. Our students now stand back and marvel in amazement at the sense of taking on and conquering their individual challenge.
